Adventure, the beginning of an epic saga.

I'll never forget that day, it forever be ingrained to the very deepest part of my memory. The most memorable thing about that night was how very ordinary it seemed before it all happened. Rachel was to get off work at 9PM, it was about 8:30 and I decided it was time to go pick her up. The drive to the mall never took more than 15 minutes, but I liked to leave early so I could better enjoy the beautiful journey through the winding forest roads. I stepped outside of our house, the last one on the left, with acres of nature and a lake in the back, with the keys to the Jeep in hand, and a hardly noticeable sense of foreboding at my back. I walked under the wrought-iron archway and stepped into the unlocked Jeep, admiring the huge full-moon the whole time. I remember thinking it seemed so strangely dark considering the giant illuminated ball in the sky. I put the Jeep in reverse and set off on what I had no idea was to be the greatest adventure of my life.
